Our first goal in breeding is to improve the Hanoverian breed. The main focus is on improving ability to perform with an emphasis on perfect soundness of body and mind. We try however not to lose but improve amateur qualities in our offspring as we are aware of today's market demands. We acknowledge most people appreciate an easy horse they can rely on and enjoy during their sparetime.
We are particularly proud to consistantly maintain those traits in our stock that are widely underestimated but undeniably crucial to horse happiness such as intelligence, boldness, impeccable interieur, forwardness and the ability to consistently be a low maintenance horse in the barn. We pay attention to correctness as it will help reduce farrier and vet costs, good appetite as it will help a horse's digestory and ability to maintain their form over an extended period of high performance, fertility as it will serve any future breeding endeavor. A horse's skill to take good care of himself is a crucial point in our breeding decisions and goes hand in hand with the training philosophies applied on our horses who are put at work. As enthusiastic long time breeders and riders we are concerned with the reduction of the gene pool in warmblood horses of today. Thus we try to maintain a variety of bloodlines we feel are worth to keep although right now another line might sound more attractive or thrilling. To us breeding means to think in generations.
Sires used in our operation in recent years include Donnerhall, Falkland, Hohenstein, Don Bosco, Ravallo, Banditentraum, Warkant, Latimer, Don Gregory, Diamond Hit, Compliment, Don Laurie.
