Dune is Ayoscha's second foal. Her older 3/4 sister SPS Donnerlischen by Donnerhall was sold to Canada via the Verden broodmare auction in 1999. Donnerlischen received scores of 9 on walk, trot and canter passing her mare performance test (SLP). At this occasion she also received an outright 8 on rideability in both her presentation with Kareen as well as from Testrider Hans-Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen.
Dune's younger brother Domingo, foaled in 2000, is successfully competing dressage in Holland and approaching Z-level this year. Her 2003 3/4 sister by Don Gregory sold to Italy via the Verden foal auction 2003 and has been entered into the main marebook for breeding.
Dune showed in hand for the first time 05/26/2000 and was rated 1a. She also ranked among the best four mares in a very competitive class. Positive remarks were made by Dr. Ludwig Christman, GhV's second chief of breeding concerning her frame and type as well as her well set neck and correctness. She behaved very well being away from home for the first time in her life.
In 2001 Dune went for her mare performance test at Hoya and scored 8's on all basic gaits, rideability from testrider and jumping technique plus two 7's on rideability from the judge and jumping ability and scope resulting in a very good total score of 7.67. That same day Dune entered the main marebook with excellent scores as well: Scoring nine 8's and three 7's total 7.8.
In May 2001 Dune became best in class at mareshow and received a 1a rating and her States Premium Award. Judges Dr. Ludwig Christmann, Heiner Ahrenshop and Dr. Bade made positive comments about her frame, substance, neckset, correctness and expression.
Screening for roaring came out clean.
Later that year she was selected to participate in the preselections for the European Mare Show at Brussels. Unfortunately she was unable to participate as she was 8 months pregnant at the time.
Her filly by Goethe which she had conceived on her first insemination one day after her MPT was mispositioned and died during delivery. Dune had to sadly undergo fetotomy at Hanover vet school and took a year off. Luckily she fully recovered without complications.
In 2003 Dune was bred to the popular and now deceased Trakehner Banditentraum for a 2004 foal resulting in SPA Bonne Chance who herself gave birth to her first foal in 2009 Bahia Breeze by Benetton Dream. This extremely personable mare is owned by Michelle Ryan of West Virginia, USA.
In 2004 was bred to Don Laurie and caught with the 1st insemination during her foal heat yet again.
The resulting 2005 filly Don't Stop who received a 1a rating at the age of 2 from the Hanoverian Verband's head of breeding and passed her MPT in 2008. Stoppi sold locally as a riding horse. She is currently prepping for her first show season.
Dune's 2006 filly Freundschaft by Florencio sold to Australia and was exported at yearling age.
In 2007 Dune, Bonne Chance and Don't Stop shared their debut at Loccum mareshow and won the Best Family In Show award.
Dune's 2008 colt Fendi sold to Canada but will be raised here.
Her 2009 model by Florencio is Full of Hope.
