biography

Our States Premium mare is from the third generation of our family's breeding programme and a greatgranddaughter of our Foundation mare SPS Firnbrot.
She has won 'Best In Class' and 'Best In Show' award at the age of two years which is remarkable as the Best In Show award is normally taken by a three years old mare. One year later she received a States Premium Award and was again entitled Best In Class.
Owing to Kareen's busy schedule back then she was only given 6 weeks to prepare for the test and 'Detti' still received high scores of 8 on walk, rideability and jumping ability with a total of well over 7.
Meanwhile she was presented at 1994 mare show and won the Best In Show Family along with her dam and granddam.
Foals out of Farfadet so far:
*1998 Don Falco by Donnerhall (licensed at Vechta (Oldenburg) in January 2001, later Verden elite auction horse, winnings up to M** in Dressage, 37 recorded placings as of 2008.
*1999 Danzig by Don Bosco (MPT scores of 8 on rideability and jumping ability, placed 4th o/o 32 and cleared her first course ever (3'6'' young horse) scoring 7.4 in Preußisch Ströhen, afterwards sold to a non-showing home)
*2001 Da Vinci by Donnerhall (Sold as a foal, successful up to L-level young horse tests in Dressage, then sold to Austria).
*2002 Diaghilev by Donnerhall (Sold to Australia as a weanling but was sold again via Verden auction to England where he is successfully showing in dressage with his owner)
*2003 Carachi by Concetto (Sold as a weanling to England)
*2004 Not bred. We did not have enough time to warrant the level of personal attention we find ideal for a group of foals so cut down that year and bred only SPS Dune.
*2005 Capirex by Contendro (Sold as a foal and resold at the Verden foal auction 2005 to be brought up as a stallion in the Netherlands by Gestüt Höftehof)
*2006 Doohan by Don Laurie (raised here to be started in 2009, for sale)
*2008 Laura by Laudabilis (Sold as a weanling to the Rhineland area)
2009 update: After a necessary dental workup Farfadet will be bred again in the new season.
Please check back for updates.
