Gadina (barn name Gazelle) was born in 1984 and has been our most successful broodmare to date. She was sadly put to sleep after a massive and sudden onset colic in the summer of 2007.
Her Mare Performance Test included 8's on jumping ability and trot and she scored 8's at inspection for swing and elasticity as well as frame. She was Best In Class several times at mareshows and first received a 1a rating when she was 5. Another 1a rating was given to her in 1990 when she last showed single and her progeny's performance in the sport and the breeding shed clearly market her a linekeeper for our programme. Besides she has proven herself a role-model in terms of longevity and hardiness. I have to think hard to any soundness problems before that horrible day last summer when I had to put her to sleep to take her out of misery. Some stiffness in the back and a tiny subcutaneous skin tumor on her right lower eyelid that was about the wear and tear she displayed when her last day had come.

*1994 Fandango by Falkland (Sold to the late Gert Wiltfang as a 2yo. Then taken over by Paul Schockemöhle and moved to Lewitz, then to Holland to be started, then to Spain to start showing, came back to Germany panfried through a dealership and is now luckily owned by a wonderful owner near Munich.)

*1997 Hirano by Hohenstein (Sold as a weanling. Successful up to second level in Dressage)
*1998 Don Aqui by Don Bosco (Sold as a weanling, licensed at Verden, Successful in material classes, suitability, young dressage horse tests, dressage, young jumper division, jumping, and eventing (Bundeschampionate finalist in 2003). Retired from the sport after a fractured coffin bone, leased out to Caroline Ironside in Scotland for the 2009 season)

and was awarded a 1a award in the family class at mareshow with her daughters Farfadet and Diva at the age of 20.
April 2005 update: Gadina was bred to Wogenbrecher and was confirmed in foal.
