Gotenkönig was stationed with Celle State Stud from 1990 to 1994. He finished stallion performance test in 1990 at Adelheidsdorf ranking 8th out of 38 (dressage 6th out of 38, jumping 12th out of 38). He is holding a dressage index of 116 according to 2000 yearbook of the German equestrian federation (FN) as well as above average indices for neck, saddle position, frame, limbs and dressage criteria. His offspring is known to be very rideable and sound minded.
Kareen was once allowed to ride this stallion who can be described as an impeccable gentleman. He is trained up to GP level and Kareen was amazed by how quiet and sensible he kept over the years. He always wants to do well and does particularly the upper level work with ease.
