Absatz is an important line founder in the hanoverian breed. He is well represented by no less than 39 approved stallions who have spread his genes all over the German warmblood breeds. A lot of them sired approved sons themselves adn thereby carried on the valuable blood of Termit so the A-line is well represented in a broad variety of crosses. Among this group of Absatz sons there are names like Argentan, Aresnik, Aderlaß, Abraham, Admiral I and II and last but not least Akzent I and II.
He didn't finish his performance test due to illness but was accepted based on his performance until the day he was pulled out of the test.t One more example for how important it is to have knowledgeable people like Freiherr von Stenglin (Master of Celle State stud from 1958 to 1979) who are independent and open minded enough to make the right decisions for the breed.
