Montana is preserving valuable successful hanoverian bloodlines in her pedigree on the dams side (such as Wunsch II who was the sire of Harry Boldt's former olympic dressage horse Woyzeck and Agram whose bloodlines are no more available on the sires side). Sire Mangan is holding an FN breedvalue of 120 in dressage for producing show horses and has a reputation for throwing sound minded, rideable offspring with correct limbs. Montana was purchased as an addition to Riehe Farm's mareband in December 2001. She was a foal show winner and best in class mare at mareshow. She came to us in 2001 and has given us four quality foals Wakander and Wahre Freude (both by Warkant) who are today at home in the US respectively France. First Flush by Fabriano was sold to England and Daijiro from the last crop of the late Donnerschwee is available for sale now and has just come under saddle.
This mare has a lovely temperament and passed mare performance test at Verden states riding school after only 3 weeks of training, where she scored 8's on character and willingness to perform with basic gaits and rideability scores being 7's.
She has an excellent topline and breed type and scored an outright 10 on her neck, 9's on head and breed type, 8's on quality of conformation, Front legs, overall impression and total.
Montana's dam Witoscha has produced a top selling foal at Verden auction by Weltmeister and comes with an excellent reference for longevity and soundness. She was put to sleep last summer due to an infected injury at 28 years and had never been ill before. Montana herself has an excellent soundness record as well.
Montana followed her 2005 daughter in 2007 and is today owned by Jive-Time-Stud in the UK.
