Whoopie is a very attractive mover and also loves to jump which she is very smart at. She was just started under saddle by Ute and Kareen and is now being worked daily in order to prepare for her mare performance test that is scheduled for March 22 at Hoya.
She is a bright character who loves attention and already comes along very nicely under saddle. Confirmed wtc, schooling leg yields. Very soft on the bit with lovely transitions. Her first hacks have been fun, she is good with dogs, farriers, vets, loads, trailers and grooms nicely. Whoopie presents an excellent mount for a smaller adult rider or advanced kid interested in higher level dressage. She has a lively temperament, no spook, no vices. This mare has grown up at Riehe Farm and is sound. Bloodlines propably don't need introduction as Weltmeyer is well known internationally. Damline is TB and related to Prince Thatch another well known dressage sire.
Kareen is 5'4'' just so you can get a better idea of Whoopie's size under saddle.
March 23 update: Whoopie and Kareen did excellent at yesterdays MPT and inspection at Hoya states riding school. She scored high including an 8 rideability score from testrider Mr. Sudowe as well as from the judges. At the inspection she was rated a class 8 mare and entered the main marebook.
Kareen was very pleased with her behaviour and performance throughout the testing procedure. She is considered ready for 1st level with particularly nice transitions, submission and lengthenings, started with leg yields and full halts.
August 2002 update: Whoopie was successfully bred to Diamond Hit who has recently won the Vice-Champion title at Verden Young Dressage Horse World Championship and also is a qualifier for the Bundeschampionate. She is now sold congratulations go out to her new owners Louise and Tom.
