Exceptionally athletic youngster with outstanding, powerful movement and the desired form of sensibility. His remarkable bellyspot easily distinguishes him everywhere. Doohan stems from our own breeding programme and is a son of our States Premium Mare Farfadet. Siblings featured here are:
*1998 Don Falco (Successful up to Inter I in dressage, Oldenburg stallion approval in Vechta, 41 recorded successes as of 2009)
*1999 Danzig (one o/o one placing in materiale class)
*2001 Da Vinci (Placings up to L level young horse tests in Germany, today residing in Austria showing at M level equivalents)
*2002 Diaghilev (Successfully showing dressage with his amateur owner in the UK)
*2003 Carachi (sold as a weanling to the UK)
*2005 Capirex (sold as a weanling, sold on via Verden foal auction to Holland, passed licensing preselections in Westfalia)
*2008 Laura (sold as a weanling to the Rhineland area)
Doohan had a clean x-ray screening in the summer of 2008 and was gelded in October. He is now being introduced to tack and lungeing in January 2009. He was put back in the field for the summer and started under saddle in November 2009.
Various video footage from under saddle and at a show is available now!
Doohan now stands approximately 16.2h.
End of 2010 update: Katja and Doohan had a successful first show season including ribbons in Material classes, suitability tests as well as adjustment-competitions (the newly designed test for young horses judgeing their demeanor and trainability). Scores up to medium 8's total. He jumps 3'6'' courses and has been to a few x-country training sessions as well as freejumped 4'3'' with ease.
He would therefor qualify as an upper level prospect for any olympic discipline. His excellent constitution and soundness have remained unchanged at any time promising a long career under saddle.
