Doylan Pussing Boots was imported from the Doylan Stud in England and is raised to become a leadrein pony. He is in fact a smokey black not liverchestnut but our color options are limited in the software.
He is a straight Section A and a real pleasure to work around. We took him for his first show short after arrival where he was sweet as a pie and very mannerly. He finished 2nd out of five entries and acted a perfect angel. Superhonest, very peopleloving, the perfect pony for a child to love and ride. We gelded him in the fall of 2007. Since he has been turned out in mixed company. This spring we have briefly introduced him to girth and bridle and he was lightly backed as well. The plan is for him to participate in leadrein classes beginning 2009 when he turns four.
2009 update: In the meantime 'Balou' as we call him has participated in the Pferd und Jagd fair as well as the Verdiana fair and quietly hacks out in walk trot and canter both alone and in company. We have also driven him a few times in a trap which he shows great talent for.
Balou is the most joyful character and good with fast and heavy traffic, dogs and extremely sociable. As Elisa takes no specific interest in riding leadrein classes he will possibly have to wait for Sophia to grow old enough. As you can tell they practice quite enthusiastically ;)
