Lisa writes: 'It was a wonderful day both Maureen Ferris (my friend and Trainer) and myself. Well ... we did it! ELY and Stilton WON their show tests yesterday, coming home with BLUE Ribbons!!

This was ELY's FIRST Show and I will tell you he was a Super Star! Both ELY and I could not have done what he did yesterday without Maureen's unyielding patience and focus. YOU ROCK, Maureen!!! ELY got both a score of 60 (in his first test - got a WHITE Ribbon;Fourth Place) and a 68 (BLUE Ribbon; First Palce) in his second test. It turned out that ELY and I WON a HIGH SCORE / Best in Show BLUE Ribbon!! Imagine??!!

I can not begin to tell all of you how proud I am of ELY and Maureen. It was an Awesome feeling to be handed two BLUE Ribbons and a WHITE!!

Kareen, I hope you get this e-mail as I thought that you would be thrilled to see how beautiful a horse (Early Bird ELY) grew up to be. He looks a lot like his Papa, Ex Libres! It seems that he LOVES to show. Perhaps, he loves more all of the lovin' he gets while at the show! Please tell his breeder what a wonderful partner and companion he has become for me. I LOVE him to peices! I think you can see for yourself! I am VERY PROUD of ELY. He is sweet, gentle, patient (for the most part...) and incredibly handsome. Whistlejacket, aka Weinrot

Dear Kareen,

It seems to me that it's a long time you haven't heard from me and Whistle. So now I can give you some great news. Whistle is working with two riders (a professional and an amateur) since november to help me. Indeed despite of my quite high level (galop 7), I need help to make everything good. Furthermore, I haven't enough time. As you can see on pictures, Whistle has an interessant potentiel. The weather was this day absolutly awfull : rain, wind and cold !! Whistle was very brave and behaved nicely !!! (It was so rainy that her color has changed !!) The goal for this year is to bring Whistle to Fontainebleau in September where all the best young horses all over France come if they are qualified of course.
On sunday, the competition was for every horses (not specificly the youngs one). The high of fences was 1m05 (against 80 cm on friday). Whistle did it quite well. This competition was for her training only.
Whistle continue to dispay her wonderfull work ethic : I'm proud of her.Congratulations for the new born horses in your barn !!!
I hope that all your little family is going well.

News from: Hannah Dopf and Dom Perignon. After being a constant member in the Junior Kader of Baden-Würtemberg they have now been invited into the Young Rider Kader! Well done and way to go Hanna and Peri! The two placed themselves in 3 S-level tests during their first outings end of 2007.
Also Hannah's trainer Pieter van der Raadt had a brilliant season opening with Peri winning an S-level test scoring 68+% in Eppelheim Congratulations!

Just a quick note to hope you, the family and all the horses are well and to say that Diaghilev competed in his first major Affiliated competition last week.
It was the biggest venue either of us has ever been to and despite tractors, marquees, noise, crashes and bangs he rode round like a school master and won both his classes gaining 65% and 67% and qualifying us for the Regional Championships in February.
I was so very very proud of my boy and cannot believe how good he was and just wanted to write to tell you.'

I wanted to give you and Ganiluna's prior owners an update on Ganiluna. Ganiluna has had a wonderful and very successful show season. She has been Champion or Reserve Champion in the Baby Green Hunters or similar 2'6" over fence hunter divisions at the following A rated shows: Blue Rock, Mt. Nittany Classic, Quentin Fall, and Swan Lake. She is consistently the Under Saddle class winner. Ganiluna has also had a successful Breeding Class career, winning the 3 year old Non-Thoroughbred division of the Pennsylvania Horse Show Association last year and pinning 4th, 3rd, and 3rd in her Mare, Amateur Handler, and Under Saddle classes at the Devon Horse Show this year. We are very proud of her and feel so lucky to have her!

Jil writes: 'Just wanted to let you know - we just returned from our first show and I am in love! Wally (had to "American-ize" his name) is great!! Corey was 2nd and I was 4th in the Level 3 jumpers (3'6")! Had a great time - he is a sweet boy. Very casual in the schooling area with golf carts, people, tents, everything... very professional in the ring! We are working things out but he is great fun and I am very happy!

Cassini went to the show too! Amanda (Jacquie's daughter) won the Pre-Childrens Jumper Classic!! first time showing in the jumpers! He is very handsome when he is braided and they are very happy also... you should see pics on the website when they get back to town next week...'
